M. Nano: Kolaboracionistët do ta mbajnë përjetë njollën e bashkëpunimit me nazi-fashizmin, por jeta e tyre është më shumë se sa kjo njollë
M. Nano është kapur në shkrimin e tij në Shqipin e sotëm pas argumentit të kolaboracionizmit gjatë Luftës II, mbi të cilën është shkruar kohët e fundit në shtyp nga Puto, Xhufi, Gjekmarkaj, etj, dhe përpiqet të japë një – kështu e quan ai – “gjykim të kontekstualizuar mbi këtë dukuri” (ne foto jane anetaret e regjences gjate pushtimit gjerman: Fuat Dibra, Anton Harapi, Lef Nosi, Mehdi Frasheri). Sipas tij, historiografia jonë i ka gjykuar më rëndë se sa duhet intelektualët shqiptarë që kanë bashkëpunuar me pushtuesit gjatë luftës. Thekson në fillim se “nuk ka asnjë meritë e kontribut që kolaboracionistët tanë kanë dhënë para e pas Luftës II, që t’ua atyre njollën e bashkëpunimit me nazi-fashizmin”. Por megjithatë, duke bërë një paralele me Petenin francez që u dënua me vdekje e pastaj iu fal jeta nga De Goli për merita që ai kish pasur gjatë Luftës I, Nano shkruan:
“Kolaboracionistët tanë, sidomos disa syresh, kanë në historinë e Shqipërisë kontribute shumë më të mëdha se sa ato që Petain-i ka pasur në historinë e Francës. Historia e Francës nuk ndryshon asnjë çikë nëse prej saj hiqen meritat e bëmat e kreut të regjimit të Vichy-së, apo të bashkëpunëtorëve të tij gjatë Luftës II. Ndërsa historia e Shqipërisë katandiset si mos më keq, nëse prej saj hiqen kontributet në kulturë të Ernest Koliqit, të Mit’hat e Mehdi Frashërit, të Lef Nosit, të Anton Harapit, të Lazër Shantojës, të Mustafa Krujës, të Eqrem Vlorës, etj., etj. Këta janë pionierë të kulturës e themelues të shtetit shqiptar, për rrjedhojë, kanë në historinë tonë atë vend që në historinë e Francës e kanë zënë Rabelais-ja, Montaigne-i, Moliere-i, etj., apo mbretër të ndryshëm. Kjo barabitje mund të tingëllojë si një parodi për historinë e Shqipërisë, por ja që punët kështu janë. Historia e Shqipërisë është historia e Shqipërisë.”

Eshte mire qe dikush me se
Eshte mire qe dikush me se fundi kerkon ti shohe e vleresoje ( jo gjykoje!!) keta figura te historise se Shqiperise. Nevoja per ti sjelle me afer vleresimit real eshte kahershme, dhe kjo perpjekje eshte e mirepritur, sado e vonuar. Ndikimi i Mehdi Frasherit direkt e fale bibliotekes se tij dhuruar shtetit, shkrimet nacionaliste te Merlikes, etj. jane te pranishme ne formimin e shume intelektualeve te brezit te trete, disa te brezit te dyte, e disi ne menyre selktive brezit te sotem. Duke ndare kontriburin rilindas e postrilindas me pjesmarrjen ne qeveri (po te lexosh aresyet e tyre, edhe ketu ka vend per rivleresim) i bejme mire vetes, dhe i largohemi disi irracionalitetit komunist e pseudo-nacionalist. Se fundi, jo te gjith i perkasin te njejtes kategori. Frasheri e Merlika jane larg, shume larg Anton Harapit, sidomos po te shihet veprimtaria e tyre ne kohe, te pakten nga prilli i 1939 (regjenca, pritja e pushtuesve italiane ne Shkoder, dorezimi i kurores mbreterore V. Emanuelit, etj.)
